The ENLIGHTENme partners at the annual meeting
ENLIGHTENme partners come together in Bologna to discuss the project’s progress
For its annual progress meeting on the 20th - 21st of June 2024, the ENLIGHTENme consortium gathered in the beautiful surroundings of the University of Bologna. The frescoed interiors and arched porticos provided a stunning backdrop for the two days of lively discussions on urban indoor and outdoor lighting for health and wellbeing.
Hosted by the ENLIGHTENme coordinating team, headed by Prof. Simona Tondelli, the meeting allowed for in-depth deliberations on the project’s progress so far and planning for the remaining months ahead. The first day provided ample opportunity for all project partners to update each other on the developments of the different work streams. Day two focused on developing the Healthy Urban Lighting Good Practice Guidelines and the Decision Support System that the ENLIGHTENme team is working towards. This included a panel discussion on aligning the results from two of the work streams covering the co-creation of urban lighting interventions in the three ENLIGHTENme cities and the population-based lighting study on older adults.
The remaining time was filled with a short session focused on the ENLIGHTENme dissemination strategies, with a particular emphasis on the development of policy briefs and a closer look on further engaging the different stakeholders of the project. This session emphasised the importance of effectively communicating findings and engaging with key stakeholders to maximize the impact of the project.
The ENLIGHTENme team will now return to their tasks with renewed focus as they enter the final project period and looks forward to sharing the project's results as they mature.
