Reflections from the ENLIGHTENme Board of Lighting Companies

The Board of Lighting Companies has been in place since the early stages of the ENLIGHTENme project with the aim to actively involve lighting companies in the research process by contributing their cutting-edge technological knowledge and design experience, working with indoor and outdoor lighting.

With the start of the new year and the project in its final months, members of the Board of Lighting Companies together with project partners have reflected on the valuable collaborations between private companies in the lighting business and research institutions.

“A research project like this is really crucial and conversations between research and lighting companies is crucial in order to improve the knowledge base to see the opportunities for innovating new forms of lighting,” says Don Slater from the Configuring Light Research Group of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
